Outlast. . . .

Outlast is a cutting edge technology which has become common in high-end bedding products.

The slogan 'Not too hot, not too cold, just right' is a simple explanation of what this technology does. The technology was invented for the space exploration programme in America. The idea is to add smart molecules to a material/surface which can help regulate temperature.

Outlast molecules actually store heat. They absorb the excess heat when it is not wanted and can release it when it is required. The images below show the molecules placed against skin circulating this heat. The other two black and white images actually show the molecules imbedded in fibres.

Outlast is a similar technology to Coolmax. Both help with temperature management and are common place on memory foam mattresses due to the heating issues commonly reported.
