Platform Top/Solid Top Divan. . . .

A Platform Top Divan (also called a 'Solid Top), is the traditional base option used in Divan beds. The base is a simple wooden framed construction with or without drawers inside. The surface is a solid peice of wood which the mattress is placed on.

Platform Top divans will result in the mattress offering the tension/firmness it is designed to offer. A Sprung Edge Divan will soften the overall feel significantly.

As seen in the image below, the Platform Top base is a simple construction and easily leaves plenty of space for storage.
