Product Description
The Birlea Castello Ottoman is one of our most popular bedframes, and it is easy to see why! This Birlea bedframe provides both aesthetic beauty and generous storage all in one neat package. During assembly, you can decide which side the storage space will open up from.
This Birlea bedstead is presented in a durable and attractive Charcoal polyester fabric that is easy to clean. Tthe base is easy to lift as it is fitted with gas piston struts that both help reduce the weight of the mattress and hold open for when you are loading and unloading the generous storage space. This ottoman bed is constructed using a metal frame which allows the mattress to air and relieve pressure, giving increased support and longer mattress life.
The headboard of the Castello Ottoman is deep padded and is curved, feeling comfortable to lean against when sitting up to read or watch television. The footboard has been kept reasonably low to keep the impression of space in the bedroom.
The support feet are made of solid hardwood and are dark in colour giving the whole package a quality look and feel.

Glossary
- Bedstead
A Bedstead is the traditional style bed which has been around since the 1800's. Bedsteads can be made from a variety of materials including wood, iron and steel. The classic design will normally feature a headboard/headend as well as a footboard/footend and these two will be joined by three straight beams which the slats can be placed/fixed on.
The slats can be either solid, straight slats or they can be sprung slats, which are gently curved and designed to flex as weight is applied. There are some mattresses we provide, which should not be placed on slats that are more than 7cm apart from each other.
