The Julian Bowen Amsterdam Oak Bedstead is a contemporary shaker style bed frame made from solid oak, with oak veneers. This is a very strong and robust bed frame and the ends of the bed are supported by chunky corner posts with the vertical slats creating a timelessly classic appearance.
The Amsterdam has been designed for strength and durability with all bolts hidden on the inside to give a clean and smooth finish. Supporting the mattress is a strong sprung slatted base. The natural bounce in the slats means that they will adjust to your profile where you exert the most pressure. A central rail and support leg provide further stability to the bed frame and mattress.This bedframe is made from a combination of solid white oak and oak veneers.

BUT
Unfortunately they put an orange tint through the varnish making it look like a 1990s pine bed.
Disappointed the product is not like in the pictures in a light natural colour (clear varnished) showing the real oak effect.
I now have 2 different colours of wood furniture in my master bedroom - C’est la vie!
