Product Description

The Relyon Edinburgh 2350 Mattress has 2350 Pocket Springs with natural Wool and Pashmina blended in. This gives you plenty of support and a luxurious feel to offer you the best night's sleep. This excellent mattress is one of the best-selling Relyon mattresses, and it is easy to see why! Such a superb specification at such a great price has earned this mattress a place among the best value mattresses on the market today.

The 2350 individual pocket springs give you postural support throughout the night, for every part of your body, leaving you to wake without aches and pains, feeling fully rejuvenated and ready to face the day ahead. Pocket Springs move independently, meaning there is no compromise if surrounding springs are compressed, resulting in perfect support exactly when and where it is required. As Pocket Springs are held in their own fabric pocket, they also stop any disturbances caused by a restless partner.

Natural wool and Pashmina have been blended into the sleeping surface, making the mattress soft and comfortable. This mattress is soft and luxurious on the surface, but supportive and posture-enhancing at its core. The fillings and springs working in harmony to offer a wonderful mattress. The natural fillings are chosen for their comfort and durability, but they are also breathable, naturally remain cool and are resistant to bed bugs and mites. Relyon has applied each of the deep layers of fillings by hand to ensure and even surface and consistent firmness.

This is a tufted mattress, meaning that there is a cord passed through the springs and fillings (leaving the dimple like effect on the surface). This is a skilled role within the bed-making process, and enhances the durability yet further. Plus the handmade Wool tufts and robust border stitching mean it will remain in a great condition throughout its 10-year guarantee. The firm edge support allows you to use the full width of the mattress, whatever size you choose, leaving the sidewalls as strong as they can possibly be.

Part of Relyon's Natural Collection, this luxury mattress will allow you a rejuvenating night's sleep with all the softness of pashmina and the support of the 2350 pocket springs.

    Nicely made mattress but.....
This is a lovely mattress, don't get me wrong, and the delivery guys were excellent. But. It did smell a bit when we first had it. We nearly sent it back because we thought something was wrong with it. It smelt of wool and farms. It got much better after a week and we're now very happy indeed.

Well made and very much recommended to all
This is a terrific mattress. Its quite deep but that is due to the amount of fillings. Its also quite heavy, but this is a non turnable mattress and the delivery chaps did a great job of placing on the bed for us.

Frequently Asked Questions -
3 Answers

can this mattress be placed on sprung base?

Yes, absolutely. A Sprung base will be absolutely fine with the Relyon Luxury Pashmina 2350 Mattress. If it is a sprung slatted base, then we suggest that the slats are not more than 7cm apart from each other.

Can the Relyon Luxury Pashmina 2350 Mattress be used on a slatted bedstead?

Yes, the Relyon Luxury Pashmina 2350 Mattress is fine to use on a slatted bedframe, as long as the slats are not more than 7cm, apart from eachother.

I would like to know if the Relyon Luxury Pashmina 2350 Mattress shakes when one person moves out of bed.

The Relyon Luxury Pashmina 2350 Mattress has pocket springs and solid construction, so it should not move too much, but it will move a little, as most mattresses do. There are some mattresses that are ideal for this purpose, however, so please contact us for suggestions.

Glossary

  • Breathability

Mattresses need to breathe. With the amount of fillings and areas of space within a mattress, they can quickly hold heat and moisture. Over time this can influence the way a mattress behaves and also effect the life span of a mattress.

Manufacturers have developed different ways of tackling the problem of Breathability in mattresses. Some brands have used vents to allow air to pass through the mattress. Some brands use state-of-the-art materials to cover the mattress, such as Coolmax or Outlast. Memory Foam has a reputation of storing heat and moisture, as foam requires heat to soften up.Memory Foam brands have overcome this problem by applying Coolmax and Outlast, they also use Open Cell technology. This technique is to simply allow the foam to settle with larger spaces between the foam cells. This allows heat and moisture to move freely without getting trapped.

Some mattresses are created in such a way that they do not require any additional Breathability methods. These mattresses are generally the entry level mattresses with Open Coil spring units and not a great deal of fillings.

  • Fibre Most mattresses will have layers of fillings under the surface to increase comfort and separate the spring units from the surface. The most common fillings used in mattresses are cotton, wool and polyester among others. Mattresses require fillings to create a soft surface tension on which to sleep. The fillings normally compliment the internal spring unit by adding comfort to the support offered (by the spring unit) The tension of the surface fillings can be tuned by the density in which they are packed as well as by the method in which they are bound together. Tufting results in a slightly firmer feel than quilting.
  • Fillings

The fillings of each mattress can differ from one another, but largely they include British Lambs Wool and Cotton. Some also feature Latex, Silk and Cashmere.

  • Firmness

MyNextMattress is developing a new and unique solution to the Firmness scale accuracy. Not seen anywhere else in the World, we will be measuring the Firmness of all our mattresses precisely and in detail.

We are the only company in the Country that will actually measure the Firmness of a mattress and give a grading out of 10. We are always aware that choosing your next mattress can be a difficult and time consuming process, therefore we strive to give as much information as possible on every mattress we sell.

The way our system works is by applying weight to a mattress. We will apply weight gradually and measure the amount the mattress dips. The more weight, the more the mattress will 'sink'. We would then measure the distance the mattress dips and plot these measurements (weight and distance) on a graph. This graph can then be used to tell us the Firmness category the mattress fits into, 7 out of 10 for instance.

Our Firmness Device provides a central rod which we apply weights to, on the bottom end there is a disc which pushes into the mattress. The top of this rod supports the weights and will sink according to the 'give' in a mattress. We measure from this point.

As a result of this unique technique, it will be possible for you to shop by the firmness of a mattress, this is not possible anywhere else.

  • Hypoallergenic

Put simply, Hypoallergenic materials do not cause the amount of irritation that non-hypoallergenic materials can. Hypoallergenic materials can still cause irritation in some cases, the chances of this are reduced greatly. People with severe allergies and asthma may still have problems with items called hypoallergenic, but the risk is greatly reduced.

Hypoallergenic materials do not omit the same particles and fibres as other non-hypoallergenic materials. These particles are to blame for causing irritation and discomfort and in some cases the irritation can be dangerous. The Hypoallergenic properties of these materials can be created by number of techniques. Some materials (Memory Foam or Latex) are naturally hypoallergenic, others have been chemically treated.

  • Pocket Sprung

Pocket Sprung units are an adaption of the traditional open coil/continuous spring unit. By placing each spring in its own individual 'pocket' (a fabric sock-like pouch), the spring is not joined to any other part of the mattress. The pocket that supports the spring is then joined to its neighbouring pockets and this effect creates a unique feel.

By creating a spring unit in this way, it allows the springs to move independently, rather than sharing the pressure with surrounding springs. This effect allows for much more accurate contour following and a more comfortable feel overall.

If you were to push your hand into a traditionally sprung mattress, the area around your hand would dip/sink too. With Pocket Springs, this sunken area is much more remote and therefore more accurately follows the contours of the pressure source. There are differences in the techniques used to create Pocket Springs, but more or less they remain the same.

  • Tufted

Tufting is a traditional and highly successful way of finishing a mattress surface. The end result makes the mattress appear to have dimples, or buttons dipping into the surface. This technique is designed to hold the surface materials together and to fix them to the core of the mattress to prevent the layers moving over time. A modern method is Spiral Tufting, which involves fixing the surface to the fillings and spring unit.

The actual tuft is usually made from a cotton felt material and is fastened by a cotton or wool chord to the spring unit, in most cases. A tufted mattress will normally have a firmer surface than a non-tufted/quilted surface. The reason for this is that the Tufting process actually holds the surface material and underlying fibre layers tightly together. This will create a tighter, firmer feel than a quilted mattress.

  • Turn / No Turn

Some mattresses require turning over, to aid even settlement. Others do not require turning, but will still require rotating.
