Product Description

The Rest Assured Eloquence Cashmere Luxury 2000 is the top of the range Rest Assured mattress. The Cashmere Luxury 2000 is built around a 2000 Pocket Spring unit, and is topped off with sumptuous layers of Soft Cashmere, Fine Silk and luxurious Wool fillings. This mattress is both supportive and comfortable, and ranks among our best sellers.

This is the top of the range mattress from the all new Rest Assured Collection. The Cashmere Luxury 2000 boasts an incredible specification at a superb price. The Cashmere 2000 is designed to support the body perfectly, preventing Pressure points from developing, which cause aches and pains (normally in the lower back or shoulder region).

The 2000 Pocket Spring unit at the centre of this Rest Assured mattress conforms to the body's contours, mirroring the curves of the body and gently relieving pressure points. Each Spring works like a piston, moving up and down according to the energy (body weight) applied. The benefit of Pocket Springs is that they act independently from one another. As weight is applied to one spring, it has no affect on the surrounding springs, meaning each spring works efficiently and accurately, focusing on a small area of the body.

The Rest Assured Cashmere 2000 mattress is topped of with a deep layer of luxury fillings, including Silk, Wool and Cashmere. These layers are applied by hand to ensure and even, durable and comfortable surface. This no-turn mattress only requires rotation once per Season (although more often in the first weeks after delivery is recommended). The cover material is just as soft and luxurious as the fillings it covers. All in all, this specification at this price means the Rest Assured Cashmere Luxury 2000 mattress is one of the best mattresses we know of today.

Glossary

  • Pocket Sprung

Pocket Sprung units are an adaption of the traditional open coil/continuous spring unit. By placing each spring in its own individual 'pocket' (a fabric sock-like pouch), the spring is not joined to any other part of the mattress. The pocket that supports the spring is then joined to its neighbouring pockets and this effect creates a unique feel.

By creating a spring unit in this way, it allows the springs to move independently, rather than sharing the pressure with surrounding springs. This effect allows for much more accurate contour following and a more comfortable feel overall.

If you were to push your hand into a traditionally sprung mattress, the area around your hand would dip/sink too. With Pocket Springs, this sunken area is much more remote and therefore more accurately follows the contours of the pressure source. There are differences in the techniques used to create Pocket Springs, but more or less they remain the same.

  • Tufted

Tufting is a traditional and highly successful way of finishing a mattress surface. The end result makes the mattress appear to have dimples, or buttons dipping into the surface. This technique is designed to hold the surface materials together and to fix them to the core of the mattress to prevent the layers moving over time. A modern method is Spiral Tufting, which involves fixing the surface to the fillings and spring unit.

The actual tuft is usually made from a cotton felt material and is fastened by a cotton or wool chord to the spring unit, in most cases. A tufted mattress will normally have a firmer surface than a non-tufted/quilted surface. The reason for this is that the Tufting process actually holds the surface material and underlying fibre layers tightly together. This will create a tighter, firmer feel than a quilted mattress.
