The Sealy PIllow Coniston was designed to offer a luxurious mattress for the Hotel industry. Due to popular demand, the Pillow Coniston is now available for delivery to domestic addresses, and is proving just as popular! The Sealy Pillow Coniston is a great mattress for the money, offering a deep pillow top of natural fillings as well as the supremely competent Sealy PostureTech spring system.

The Hotel industry is a very demanding industry to satisfy and therefore any successful mattress has to be extremely good. The Hotel trade require comfortable and durable mattresses of great value for money. The Sealy Pillow Coniston ticks these boxes and many more.

The Pillow Coniston will stand the test of time, and has a Warranty to support that. The materials used in this mattress must be able to sustain even the busiest of hotels, whilst ensuring that the most demanding of guests remain comfortable and experience a great nights sleep. Sealy have applied their vast knowledge and experience to this model to ensure that comfort and support do not deteriorate over the years.

The Sealy PostureTech Spring Unit at the heart of the Pillow Coniston will offer excellent support to ensure the body will maintain perfect posture. The PostureTech spring system also boasts the added benefit of managing energy echoes caused by a restless partner. These factors combine to create a great mattress, but are further improved by the years of support by the American Orthopedic Advisory Board, who have refined this spring unit.

The Coniston has a deep pillow top layer packed with natural, luxurious fibre fillings. The unique aspect of this pillow top is that it is on both sides, the only turnable pillow top mattress we offer. This deep cushion of natural fillings will offer a touch of comfort and sumptuous luxury to the supportive spring unit.

The Pillow Coniston has a soft and tactile cover material that adds a final flourish of luxury to this Hotel favourite. The cover material is a stretch knit fabric that is as durable as it is comfortable.

This Sealy bed has handles on all sides to aid easy movement when required (although we will complete any lifting or unpacking required upon delivery).

Glossary

  • Fibre Most mattresses will have layers of fillings under the surface to increase comfort and separate the spring units from the surface. The most common fillings used in mattresses are cotton, wool and polyester among others. Mattresses require fillings to create a soft surface tension on which to sleep. The fillings normally compliment the internal spring unit by adding comfort to the support offered (by the spring unit) The tension of the surface fillings can be tuned by the density in which they are packed as well as by the method in which they are bound together. Tufting results in a slightly firmer feel than quilting.
  • Pillow Top

A pillow top mattress is a relatively new development in the bedding industry. Originally the technique applied to the more expensive mattresses, the technique has been perfected to such an extent that the prices have fallen the Pillow Top is much more widely available. Known as the Euro Top by American retailers, the design was originally on the wider market a few years ago, and is now a common site in bedrooms around the World. The idea is to separate the surface fillings from the core of the mattress itself. This results in more support and more comfort. Many traditional mattresses fasten the surface fillings to the spring unit in the mattress. A Pillow Top mattress has a distinct separate layer for the fillings and therefore reacts independently to the spring unit, resulting in less dipping and a solid feel. The technique also offers greater edge-to-edge support.

Pillow tops can take many forms nowadays. A deep layer on the surface which contains memory foam. Another technique of Pillow Top mattress is the Silentnight Treasure mattress. A shallower, quilt like style. All in all, this type of mattress is continuing to go from strength to strength and would appear to be here to stay.

  • Quilted / Micro Quilted

Quilting is the stitching technique used to join or attach the mattress' surface layers of fibres to the surface material (the ticking). There are various different techniques which can be used to join these layers, but Quilting is common. Traditionally, Quilting offers a softer surface feel than Tufting as the layers are not held together so tightly. Also see Diamond Stitching or Micro Quilting for variations on Quilting.

  • Turn / No Turn

Some mattresses require turning over, to aid even settlement. Others do not require turning, but will still require rotating.
