The Sealy Ortho Collection mattresses have been designed in conjunction with leading orthopaedic surgeons and scientists to ensure the most comprehensive orthopaedic support. The sheer amount of support this mattress provides cannot be underestimated and you are guaranteed to have a comfortable night's sleep and wake up without uncomfortable aches and pains in your neck and back.
The Posture Deluxe has fabric sewn handles and generous layers of luxurious upholstery. It also features Sealy's unique PostureTech mattress spring system for uncompromised comfort and support right to the edge of the mattress. It includes a hand-tufted knitted cover overlaying fluffy fibre fillings but still gives firm support to your back and neck.
We deliver all Mattresses to the room of choice, where we will unpack the goods and remove all packaging for recycling. Once the bed is received and inspected at our warehouse, we will contact you to arrange for delivery on a date and at a time that suits you.

- Fibre Most mattresses will have layers of fillings under the surface to increase comfort and separate the spring units from the surface. The most common fillings used in mattresses are cotton, wool and polyester among others. Mattresses require fillings to create a soft surface tension on which to sleep. The fillings normally compliment the internal spring unit by adding comfort to the support offered (by the spring unit) The tension of the surface fillings can be tuned by the density in which they are packed as well as by the method in which they are bound together. Tufting results in a slightly firmer feel than quilting.

Orthopaedic mattresses are usually the firmest mattresses on the market. A common mistake made by those with back pain, is to assume that a firm Orthopaedic mattress will be the solution. Personal comfort and a correct diagnosis of the cause of the pain should always be saught before purchasing an Orthopaedic mattress.
Many brands have 'Ortho' mattresses. Terms used include 'Backcare' or 'Orthocare' and the theme is generally to produce a firmer feeling mattress. The idea is to create a mattress that the body can rest on without sinking in and bending the spine, causing pressure to build up. However, if a lighter person lays on a firmer mattress, they will find the spine will not align correctly as the loaded parts of the body (shoulders, hips etc) are not sitting correctly. A Platform Top Divan (also called a 'Solid Top), is the traditional base option used in Divan beds. The base is a simple wooden framed construction with or without drawers inside. The surface is a solid peice of wood which the mattress is placed on.
Platform Top divans will result in the mattress offering the tension / firmness it is designed to offer. A Sprung Edge Divan will soften the overall feel significantly. The Platform Top base is a simple construction and easily leaves plenty of space for storage.
