Product Description

The Airsprung Comfort Rolled Mattress is one of the best affordable mattresses on the UK market at present, representing some of the best value for money you can find. Designed to be affordable without compromising on comfort, the aptly named Airsprung Comfort mattress is a sure way to find a good night's sleep.

The support offered by the Comfort mattress comes from Airsprung's excellent Supercoil springs. These resilient open coil springs provide an excellent traditional feel with secure medium-feel support. These open coil springs are complimented by recycled fibres to gently cushion the spring support.

The Airsprung Comfort mattress soft knitted cover is treated with Triple AAA protection, making the sleeping surface antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-dustmite to keep you and the mattress healthy throughout the lifespan of the mattress.

The Comfort rolled mattress is covered by a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee. This mattress is a no-turn mattress, but Airsprung have included handles on the sidewalls to help with rotating the mattress. We recommend rotating the mattress seasonally for healthy maintenance.

Mattress Depth: 21cm.

The Airsprung Comfort Mattress is delivered vacuum packed and rolled for ease of installation.

  • Fibre Most mattresses will have layers of fillings under the surface to increase comfort and separate the spring units from the surface. The most common fillings used in mattresses are cotton, wool and polyester among others. Mattresses require fillings to create a soft surface tension on which to sleep. The fillings normally compliment the internal spring unit by adding comfort to the support offered (by the spring unit) The tension of the surface fillings can be tuned by the density in which they are packed as well as by the method in which they are bound together. Tufting results in a slightly firmer feel than quilting.
  • Fillings

The fillings of each mattress can differ from one another, but largely they include British Lambs Wool and Cotton. Some also feature Latex, Silk and Cashmere.

  • Firmness

MyNextMattress is developing a new and unique solution to the Firmness scale accuracy. Not seen anywhere else in the World, we will be measuring the Firmness of all our mattresses precisely and in detail.

We are the only company in the Country that will actually measure the Firmness of a mattress and give a grading out of 10. We are always aware that choosing your next mattress can be a difficult and time consuming process, therefore we strive to give as much information as possible on every mattress we sell.

The way our system works is by applying weight to a mattress. We will apply weight gradually and measure the amount the mattress dips. The more weight, the more the mattress will 'sink'. We would then measure the distance the mattress dips and plot these measurements (weight and distance) on a graph. This graph can then be used to tell us the Firmness category the mattress fits into, 7 out of 10 for instance.

Our Firmness Device provides a central rod which we apply weights to, on the bottom end there is a disc which pushes into the mattress. The top of this rod supports the weights and will sink according to the 'give' in a mattress. We measure from this point.

As a result of this unique technique, it will be possible for you to shop by the firmness of a mattress, this is not possible anywhere else.

  • Life Span

When we state Life Span, we refer to the amount of time the Hypnos bed or mattress is expected to last for. Typically a Hypnos mattress would last for well over 10 years.

  • Open Coil

An Open Coil spring unit is made from a continuous piece of wire. This wire can be made from various different gauges of wire, ending in differing firmnesses. The idea behind an Open Coil spring unit, or Continuous Springs as they are sometimes known, is that the spring unit can be made quickly, efficiently and therefore for little cost. Open Coil spring units tend to be the reserve of the entry level models on the market. However, some manufacturers have perfected the technique and the end result is extremely successful.

A single piece of wire will be placed in a machine, bent into coils. Each coil will be joined at the top, the bottom or both and the result is a spring unit made of one wire. The reason this works well, is that the springs can support one another and share any weight or pressure across the surface. Other methods of spring units include Twin Sprung or Pocket Sprung.

  • Rotate

Some mattresses require rotating, meaning turning over completely. This can also be combined with rotating the mattress.
