Dura Beds Stratus 1000 Mattress

The Dura Beds Stratus 1000 mattress is the sister mattress to the Nimbus 1000 mattress, both of these mattresses are superb value for money, almost unrivalled in terms of the specification, comfort, support and durability compared to their price tag. The Stratus 1000 is a medium to firm feel and is built around a Pocket Spring unit with layers of fibre fillings on top.

The Dura Beds Stratus Mattress has 1000 Pocket Springs at its core, all working like pistons, up and down as weight is applied. The benefit of Pocket Springs is that each spring is set within its own fabric 'pocket' and so cannot interfere with its neighbouring springs, allowing it to compress to the precise level needed to give accurate support. The end result is that good posture is promoted and pressure points are prevented.

Dura Beds have hand-applied layers of fibre fillings to the top of this mattress. These layers are not only luxurious, but they're also breathable and ensure the mattress is cool and comfortable at all times. The breathability of the fillings is further assisted by the vents on the sides of the mattress.

The Stratus is a tufted mattress, hence the dimple-like features on the surface of the mattress. These tufts are created by passing a cord through the mattress to bind the contents in place and to create a precise level of firmness.

As a no-turn mattress, the Stratus will still require rotating once per season (spinning around) and we recommend that this is done more often in the early weeks after delivery. There are flag-stitched handles on the sides of the mattress to aid movement when needed.
