The Wooltec 1000 Mattress is hand made and very well crafted. There is a 1000 Pocket Spring unit at the core of this mattress. Each spring will act as a piston to move up and down as weight is applied. These springs are kept apart from one another, sealed into their own fabric 'pocket'. This has the effect of allowing each spring to focus on a precise area of the body, not being compromised by its neighbouring springs. The other effect of this spring type is that it is great for preventing movement through the mattress, limiting disturbance to and from your partner, ensuring a deep and restful night's sleep.

Duvalay has hand-applied a wonderfully deep, natural and breathable layer of Wooltec breathable fibres to the surface of this no-turn mattress. These deep fillings are soft and very luxurious as well as being breathable, allowing air to move freely through the mattress, keeping it cool and comfortable at all times.

As well as the fibre fillings, there is also a deep layer of soft and comfortable foam, supportive and acting as the perfect bridge between the fibre fillings and the springs. This foam layer is soft enough to feel comfortable but supportive enough to promote good posture and prevent pressure points from forming.

The luxurious fillings are held in place thanks to the hand tufting process. These are the dimple like features you'll see on the surface of the mattress, which are the ends of cords, which have been fed through the mattress to make sure it maintains a precise level of tension but also to hold the fillings in place.
