The Harrison Helsinki 8400 mattress is a new addition to the stunning Harrison Collection. Designed and hand-built with only the highest levels of quality and attention to detail, this mattress is absolute luxury and will not only provide exquisite comfort and support but will also stand the test of time. Each Harrison mattress is made over a period of several days by the experienced craftsmen and women at the Harrison farm factory in Yorkshire.

Boasting 8400 Pocket Springs, this mattress offers support and comfort that few others can provide. Each spring is designed to move up and down like a piston as weight is applied, conforming to the contours of the body instantly and effortlessly. The support is exactly as it should be, preventing pressure points from forming and so stopping aches and pains, as well as enhancing good posture throughout the night.

The 8400 springs are placed in two layers, one layer of 3400 supportive springs, and one layer of 5000 Cortec springs, which are smaller and more refined, designed for a wonderfully comfortable and 'light' feel. This Harrison mattress is available in a choice of firmness levels, (Soft, Medium and Firm) and this is controlled by the density of the fillings and the strength of the wire used in the springs.

This range of new Harrison mattress is using the new Cortec Spring System for the first time. This revolutionary spring is a first for any bed maker.  The Cortec technology designed to offer the support and comfort you'd expect from a Harrison mattress, but for the first time, the springs can be 100% recycled. Cortec is glue-free, no chemicals and a totally 'green' construction for the first time. These new springs also feature a smaller, finer, more tightly coiled spring, with more individual points of contact for greater contour accuracy and precision.

Packed full of natural fillings, Harrison has hand-applied layers of fillings to the Helsinki, which include Wool Viscose Blend, Wool, Flax Blend, Cotton, Hemp & Mohair Blend. Harrison is the only supplier to source Wool from their own farm, and so quality is absolutely assured. The fillings are breathable, natural and heat-sensitive - keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Finished in a silky-smooth and very tactile cover, the Harrison Helsinki mattress is also hand-tufted, ensuring the fillings remain in place at all times as well as aiding the consistency of the tension and firmness of the mattress. There are handles for easy movement, although this is a no-turn mattress, only requiring rotation once per season (although we recommend doing so more often in the first few weeks after delivery).
