Highgrove Luxury Ottoman Divan Bed Base

The Highgrove Luxury Ottoman base is one of our most popular storage options. Superb value for money and made to the highest standards, this base offers the largest payload of any base we offer and does so at a great price. This End Lift option is great for access.

This base is end opening, allowing for excellent access to the storage compartments and together with the strong storage floor, this base is able to store goods of large sizes and heavy weights.

As with the Highgrove's standard side opening ottoman base, the lid is raised by a series of gas lift pistons. These four pistons are already fitted in place upon delivery, and you will only have to fix one single screw in place to complete their construction. These pistons are designed to stay down with the weight of a mattress in place, so you must bear this in mind when assembling or moving the base without a mattress in position. The pistons may also be quite stiff initially (and may even appear stuck) but will loosen with time.

This base will be delivered with spacer blocks to allow a headboard to be fitted without it crashing against the lid when lifting. This feature will ensure the bed lasts longer and does not require the headboard to be altered, but will add a further 4-5cm to the overall length of the bed.

We deliver this bed and every product in the Highgrove range to the room of choice and will unpack for you free of charge. The base will require assembly, which is a 10min job, requiring bolts fitting in place in the main compartment and also the lid, which will fix the bases together. The pistons also require a swing arm fixing in place (1 screw).
