- A local charity may want it. We have given them many items in the last year
- We may recycle the mattress
- Some mattresses cannot be recycled, and so we use a local disposal service to take care of the goods.
Product Description
The Komfi Select Ortho Mattress is an ortho feel mattress made with a reduced carbon footprint compared to a traditional memory foam mattress.
The Select Ortho mattress features several layers within it. At the base of the Select Ortho is 10cm of Re-Engineered Eco-Foam. This high-density foam has been designed and produced with the environment in mind and helps lower the carbon footprint of the manufacturing process. It is of course, also extremely supportive and an excellent base layer for this firmer feel mattress.
Atop this 10cm base layer sit 1000 micro-pocket springs. These 4cm tall pocketed springs are body-reactive, meaning that they respond quickly to the body's movements as you lay on the mattress. This helps support your body in the areas that require it the most with pinpoint precision, easing aches and pains and helping you sleep deeper into the night and wake up refreshed.
These fantastic springs are complimented by a further two layers of foam. Another 2cm layer of high-density ecofoam provides extra support above the springs, whilst 4cm of Reflex foam sits at the top of the mattress. This relfex foam adds an extra dimension of support, helping give the Select Ortho Mattress its firmer feel. This Reflex foam is also incredibly responsive, and together with the 1000 micro-springs helps the Select Ortho give targeted support and evenly distribute your bodyweight as you sleep.
Komfi is an NHS-approved supplier of mattresses who backs their products with a 10-year guarantee, so you can be sure of the quality of a Komfi mattress. The soft cover of the Select Ortho Mattress is easily removable and can be washed in a 40°C wash.
