Can the Super King divan be used as 2 singles as well the super king layout?

Technically yes, although this would not be ideal as the headboard would not have enough fixing points, and the base(s) would only have a fixing link on one side, if split like this. The 4 quarters of the Superking split base all link together securely, splitting this into 2 halves only means only half the linking would be in place.

Is this split base easy to assemble?

Yes, absolutely, it is very simple indeed. Simply pop the wheels into place, then lock the sections of the base together with the linking arms. The process should take around 5mins.

On a single split divan bed please can you describe where the drawers are. The illustration shows them on opposite sides? Thanks

For a single-sized bed, the drawers would be on the same side.

Divan
The term 'Divan' comes from the Greek word 'Divani', meaning a couch-like piece of furniture. Divans have many, many variations as they are essentially a surface on which to place the mattress with space for storage underneath.

The Four Drawer Divan features two equal sized drawers on either side of the base. A Four Drawer base is not typically an option for Small Single, or Single sized beds due to the lack of space in the base.
Drawers (Hypnos)
The Hypnos Drawers are made to a very high standard - as you would expect - and can hold a large amount of goods, and a large amount of weight.
Platform Top
A Platform Top Divan (also called a 'Solid Top), is the traditional base option used in Divan beds. The base is a simple wooden framed construction with or without drawers inside. The surface is a solid peice of wood which the mattress is placed on.

Platform Top divans will result in the mattress offering the tension / firmness it is designed to offer. A Sprung Edge Divan will soften the overall feel significantly. The Platform Top base is a simple construction and easily leaves plenty of space for storage.

Sprung Edge
A Sprung Edge Divan is the term used to describe a Divan base with a built in Spring Unit on the surface. This Spring Unit can be as varied in tension as a mattress itself. The idea is that the base can offer an additional layer of comfort and support. This technique has been perfected over the years. A layer of Springs (usually Open Coil) is added and fixed to the surface of the base. This spring unit will have a noticeable effect on the overall tension of the bed. A Sprung Edge Divan will make the bed softer.

The Sprung Edge base can still offer drawer space and will normally result in a slightly higher base height. Divan bases can also feature a Platform Top/Solid Base.
