Millbrook Bristol 1000 Ortho

The Millbrook Bristol 1000 Ortho mattress is one of our favourite mattresses from the famous Hampshire bed makers. Made with 1000 hand-nested pocket springs using Millbrook's unique zonal edge spring system, and packed to the brim with only the finest cotton and wool, the Bristol 1000 Ortho is supremely comfortable, very supportive and is built to last. This mattress is topped with a deep and luxurious Egyptian Cotton layer.

This Bristol mattress differs from the Bristol 1400 because this model has 1000 springs, not 1400 and is not quite as firm. This is also a no-turn mattress, whereas the Bristol 1400 Extra Firm is a turnable mattress.

1000 Pocket springs form the core of the Bristol 1000 Ortho mattress. Hand nested by Millbrook's expert bed-makers, these individual pocket springs are arranged using a unique system designed to give exact support where it is needed most. Individual springs are placed precisely in selected zones, building areas of comfort within the mattress, providing increased support where needed, and strengthening the edges of the mattress to reduce the sensation of roll-off. The sides of the Bristol 1000 Ortho mattress are strengthened further still with 2 rows of side stitching.

The springs are placed within packed layers of the best English Fine Cotton and sumptuous Hampshire Wool. These natural layers provide natural bounce and support, whilst also maintaining airflow. These natural fibres are only from the highest quality sources, including Millbrook's own pastures. Wool and Cotton are naturally breathable layers, keeping you comfy and cool throughout the night. 

The Bristol mattress is finished in a fabulously soft Egyptian Cotton cover for a truly luxurious feeling. No chemicals have been used on the Cotton covers or the sumptuous natural fillings. This mattress is a firmer comfort level, but not extra firm.
