The Millbrook Gainswood 1000 combines Millbrook's vast experience with traditional mattress-making techniques with innovative new technologies. Pocket Springs work seamlessly with all new NemoFlex™ technology to support you as you sleep, packed in with natural fibres. The unique Smooth-Tech™ sleeping surface provides an ultra-comfortable feel to the Ortiz 1000. The brand-new NemoFlex™ mattress core is a material that is a sustainable alternative to memory foam. This material encapsulates the pocket springs providing increased edge support, reducing the rolling-off sensation as you reach the edges of the mattress. The pocket springs are fully encapsulated by this eco-friendly material, which increases the support offered by the mattress without compromising on the comfort levels offered.

Developed in partnership with Chittenden & Eastman, the Gainswood 1000 would not be a Millbrook mattress without layers of natural materials sourced locally to the Hampshire Bedmakers. Layers of Hampshire wool and English Spun Cotton are topped off with a natural soft comfort layer, allowing you to sink into your night's sleep in harmony with bed and nature alike. 

The Gainswood 1000 mattress is finished with a unique sleeping surface. The Smoothtech sleeping surface is a tuft-free sleeping surface. This means that whilst there are no tufts on the sleeping surface, which can be uncomfortable for some sleepers, the mattress still benefits from a tufted structure within the mattress, keeping all those natural layers firmly in place over the mattress' lifetime. 

This is a chemical-free, no-turn mattress. We recommend rotating this mattress seasonally, with increased frequency immediately after purchase, to allow for the natural fillings to settle evenly.
