Octaspring 9500 Mattress

The Dormeo Octaspring 9500 is the very top of the range mattress from this relatively new, but hugely popular brand. This mattress is based largely upon the Octaspring 8500, but this mattress has a deep (9cm) Latex Layer on the surface. This mattress has a wonderfully comfortable and yet supportive feel, which we have rated as a 6 / 10.

The 9500 mattress is built with three layers of springs. The foundation layer is created to offer support, ensuring that the body will have the posture-enhancing support it requires - at all times. This foundation layer has springs made from a slightly higher density than other layers and springs, meaning they are more supportive and slightly firmer as a result.

The middle layer of springs in this Dormeo mattress has a 5 Zone specification, which offers a blend of comfort and support. Each zone is specifically created to offer a precise level of support. The lumbar region of the body is the area where most weight is applied to the mattress, and so the body needs more support in this region. These zones work to prevent aches and pains by providing unique levels of support to specific areas.

The upper layer of springs in this Dormeo Octaspring mattress is the softest layer, boasting a 3 Zone system that is created from a low-density foam, thus offering the softest feel of the three spring layers. The combination of these three layers is a wonderfully soft, yet supportive feel.

Each layer is separated by a foam layer, and the surface of this mattress is a deep layer of soft Memory Foam. The Octaspring springs are made from Memory Foam, but are made from a 3D design, which was created to allow air to move freely through the core of the mattress. These springs are 8x more breathable than standard memory foam, so this mattress will keep a cool and comfortable temperature at all times. Foam is also used on the side walls of this Dormeo mattress, which adds strength to the mattress overall, but particularly to the edges of the mattress, preventing any 'roll off' and increasing the size of the comfortable sleeping area.

This mattress has a zipped, removable cover, which can be machine washed at 30deg. The cover is a smart material, which further aids the movement of air and moisture, increasing the comfort of the mattress.
