We will do one of three things:
- A local charity may want it. We have given them many items in the last year
- We may recycle the mattress
- Some mattresses cannot be recycled, and so we use a local disposal service to take care of the goods.

The Ortho Extra Firm is built around Sealy's PostureTech Zero Deflection Spring System, a snappy title for a spring unit that gives a much firmer feel than a pocketed spring, but still contours to your body shape more precisely than a traditional open coil spring.
The ActivSleep Extra Firm is upholstered with Smart Adaptive fibres that will actually use the movement of your body to stay cool and to reduce any moisture in the mattress. Heat and moisture are two of the most common restrictions to a poor night's sleep and so a barrier to full rest and recovery.
Sealy believe that your mattress should be a clean place to be so have added Purotex Microcapsules to the Ortho Extra Firm, which are probiotic and constantly fight bad bacteria and allergens. No stone has been left unturned in the pursuit of good quality sleep.
As with all Sealy mattresses the Ortho Extra Firm benefits from edge to edge reinforcement, increasing the usable sleeping surface by 10%. To further offer peace of mind, Sealy offers a 10-year guarantee!
