The Miracoil spring unit used by Silentnight sees all the springs linked by one continuous wire, which allows for body weight to be shared across the mattress, rather than focussed in one area. This Silentnight method is durable, reactive and very efficient indeed. Not only is each spring linked, but the springs are linked from head to toe along the mattress, rather than side to side. The result of this is the prevention of 'roll together', hence the famous Hippo and Duck logo characters.

This mattress is a tufted mattress, meaning there are cords running through the fillings and the springs to bind them all in place, ensuring a certain firmness is maintained at all times. This is a very effective approach and also prevents the surface fillings from shifting over the years.
