Product Description
The Sleepeezee Regent mattress is part of the excellent new Perfectly British Collection, a range of beds designed to showcase precisely what can be offered with almost 100 years experience, British materials and the desire to make great beds for a great price. With 2600 pocket springs and a deep layer of luxury fillings, the Regent mattress is very popular, and it is easy to see why.
The Sleepeezee Regent mattress is a medium firmness mattress, designed to offer comfort and support. This is a turnable mattress that needs flipping over and spinning around, alternating between the two once per Season (3 months). We recommend that this process is done more often in the first couple of months after delivery to ensure even settlement.
The Regent mattress is packed full of hand-applied layers of fillings. These natural fibres include British Wool and Silk and they are applied by hand for evenness and consistency, and the fact they are completely natural means they're breathable and so will remain cool and comfortable throughout the night. The layers are bound in place by Hand Tufting, a process which is as traditional as it is durable. A cord is passed through the mattress to keep the fillings and springs set at a pre-desired tension, the result is the dimple like affect you see on the surface.
Inside the Regent mattress are 2600 pocket springs, all working in harmony to provide a sleeping surface that instantly conforms to the body's contours, which will prevent aches and pains from forming and enhance posture and circulation, leaving you to awake refreshed and rejuvenated each morning.
The cover of this Sleepeezee mattress is a soft, silky smooth and very tactile damask cover that will stand the tets of time. There are breather vents and handles on the sides and Sleepeezee has finished the side walls with 2 rows of side stitching to create a stronger frame for the mattress, allowing you to sleep closer to the edge.
Sleepeezee has backed this mattress with a 10-year guarantee, and we deliver it for FREE!

- WOWSaw it slightly cheaper on Another site. MNM beat it by £5 and had it in stock for next day delivery. The delivery was easy and I didnt have to lift a finger. Top marks all roundVerified Buyer
- Very comfortable but we should have spent moreWe are very pleased with this mattress and thought it was too good to be true at this price. We saw another mattress at [name removed] but wanted to keep as far within our budget as possible. We could have gone for the other mattress too as it was cheaper online, but we didn't. In hindsight, we should have as we now regret not going for the better mattress! Only a small grumble, and completely our fault. This mattress is excellent too and we have already recommended it to our neighbours. Maybe they'll buy it from us and we can go for the better model!! :)Verified Buyer

Glossary
- Pocket Sprung
Pocket Sprung units are an adaption of the traditional open coil/continuous spring unit. By placing each spring in its own individual 'pocket' (a fabric sock-like pouch), the spring is not joined to any other part of the mattress. The pocket that supports the spring is then joined to its neighbouring pockets and this effect creates a unique feel.
By creating a spring unit in this way, it allows the springs to move independently, rather than sharing the pressure with surrounding springs. This effect allows for much more accurate contour following and a more comfortable feel overall.
If you were to push your hand into a traditionally sprung mattress, the area around your hand would dip/sink too. With Pocket Springs, this sunken area is much more remote and therefore more accurately follows the contours of the pressure source. There are differences in the techniques used to create Pocket Springs, but more or less they remain the same. - Pressure Points
Pressure Points are created in the body when lying on a mattress which is not suitable for a persons physique. The Pressure Points are caused by putting stresses through the body. When the spine is not aligned correctly (i.e, straight), it can cause pressure to build up in the back, hips or shoulders (etc).
When a bed is too soft, the body sinks in, causing certain areas to be under the strain of the rest of the body. When a mattress is too hard/firm, then the weight applied can cause the body to flex/bend in the opposite way - causing a similar problem. Hips, shoulders and so on, are requried to be sunken into the mattress slightly more than the surrounding areas, as they carry the weight. When this is not the case, the lower back may be bent to compensate. The ideal mattress is one which will keep the spine straight. - Side Stitched
Side Stitching is the way in which the side of a mattress is finished. A traditional process, the Side Stitching technique applied by many high-end companies, is a highly-skilled profession and takes time and a great deal of experience to perfect. The technique involves passing a needle through the side of a mattress right the way through to the horizontal surfaces for additional strength and stability. This technique is normally the reserve of expensive, high-end mattresses.
Another technique applied more commonly in mid-range mattresses, is to simply attach the stitching to the spring unit in the mattress. Other manufacturers may simply use a material on the side of the mattress which appears to be side stitched, but actually is not. - Tufted
Tufting is a traditional and highly successful way of finishing a mattress surface. The end result makes the mattress appear to have dimples, or buttons dipping into the surface. This technique is designed to hold the surface materials together and to fix them to the core of the mattress to prevent the layers moving over time. A modern method is Spiral Tufting, which involves fixing the surface to the fillings and spring unit.
The actual tuft is usually made from a cotton felt material and is fastened by a cotton or wool chord to the spring unit, in most cases. A tufted mattress will normally have a firmer surface than a non-tufted/quilted surface. The reason for this is that the Tufting process actually holds the surface material and underlying fibre layers tightly together. This will create a tighter, firmer feel than a quilted mattress.
