Product Description
The Welland Beds Valor 2000 Mattress stands as a testament to quality and comfort, designed to provide an unparalleled sleeping experience. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this mattress is an ideal choice for those seeking a blend of support and durability.
At its core, the mattress boasts 2000 individually pocketed springs. This high count of pocket springs ensures that the mattress contours to your body, providing targeted support and reducing the transfer of movement. This feature is particularly beneficial for those who share a bed, as it minimises disturbance from a partner's movements.
Complementing the spring system are the fibre fillings, which add an extra layer of comfort. These fillings are hypoallergenic, making the mattress a suitable option for individuals with allergies or sensitivities. The fibres also contribute to the overall breathability of the mattress, helping to regulate temperature and ensure a comfortable sleep environment.
One of the standout features of the Valor 2000 Mattress is its turnable design. This aspect allows for even wear, thereby prolonging the lifespan of the mattress and maintaining its comfort over time. Regular turning and rotating can help the mattress retain its shape and support capabilities.
The mattress provides firm support, ideal for those who require more support for their back and joints. This level of firmness is often recommended for individuals with specific orthopaedic needs or for those who prefer a sturdier sleeping surface.
The attention to craftsmanship is evident in the side stitching, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also strengthens the edges of the mattress, preventing sagging and extending its usable surface. Additionally, the tufted design of the mattress further ensures that the fillings remain evenly distributed, avoiding lumps and bumps that can disturb sleep.
Each Valor 2000 Mattress comes with a 5-year guarantee, reflecting the confidence in its quality and durability. This guarantee offers peace of mind and assurance of the product's longevity.
The Welland Beds Valor 2000 Mattress is a robust and comfortable option for those in search of a supportive, durable, and hypoallergenic sleeping solution. Its combination of individual pocket springs, quality fillings, and expert craftsmanship make it a worthy investment for a restful night's sleep.

Glossary
- Orthopaedic
Orthopaedic mattresses are usually the firmest mattresses on the market. A common mistake made by those with back pain, is to assume that a firm Orthopaedic mattress will be the solution. Personal comfort and a correct diagnosis of the cause of the pain should always be saught before purchasing an Orthopaedic mattress.
Many brands have 'Ortho' mattresses. Terms used include 'Backcare' or 'Orthocare' and the theme is generally to produce a firmer feeling mattress. The idea is to create a mattress that the body can rest on without sinking in and bending the spine, causing pressure to build up. However, if a lighter person lays on a firmer mattress, they will find the spine will not align correctly as the loaded parts of the body (shoulders, hips etc) are not sitting correctly. For more information on the causes of back pain, click here or read about another solution in the Zoning description. - Pocket Sprung
Pocket Sprung units are an adaption of the traditional open coil/continuous spring unit. By placing each spring in its own individual 'pocket' (a fabric sock-like pouch), the spring is not joined to any other part of the mattress. The pocket that supports the spring is then joined to its neighbouring pockets and this effect creates a unique feel.
By creating a spring unit in this way, it allows the springs to move independently, rather than sharing the pressure with surrounding springs. This effect allows for much more accurate contour following and a more comfortable feel overall.
If you were to push your hand into a traditionally sprung mattress, the area around your hand would dip/sink too. With Pocket Springs, this sunken area is much more remote and therefore more accurately follows the contours of the pressure source. There are differences in the techniques used to create Pocket Springs, but more or less they remain the same. - Pressure Points
Pressure Points are created in the body when lying on a mattress which is not suitable for a persons physique. The Pressure Points are caused by putting stresses through the body. When the spine is not aligned correctly (i.e, straight), it can cause pressure to build up in the back, hips or shoulders (etc).
When a bed is too soft, the body sinks in, causing certain areas to be under the strain of the rest of the body. When a mattress is too hard/firm, then the weight applied can cause the body to flex/bend in the opposite way - causing a similar problem. Hips, shoulders and so on, are requried to be sunken into the mattress slightly more than the surrounding areas, as they carry the weight. When this is not the case, the lower back may be bent to compensate. The ideal mattress is one which will keep the spine straight. - Turn / No Turn
Some mattresses require turning over, to aid even settlement. Others do not require turning, but will still require rotating.
