The Emma Helix Hybrid mattress is constructed from four main layers, all of high quality and all with a specific purpose.

- The bottom layer is the foundation that gives the mattress its strength and durability, this is the layer on which the comfort layers above are anchored to. This foam is HRX Foam. HRX stands for "High Resiliency Extra."

- The next layer up is the excellent pocket spring layer. These springs are the industry standard for offering support, comfort and durability. As weight is applied to the springs, they will move up and down like a piston, conforming to the contours of the body and providing very accurate support. Because each spring is sat within its own fabric pocket, they cannot interfere with surrounding springs, which results in very precise support.

- Above the springs are two layers of foam. The first of which is a gel-infused Foam. This gel foam is a wonderful combination of soft gel and comfortable foam, all with the added benefit of not requiring heat to soften. Gel foam will also stop motion transfer when people sleep in the same bed, ideal if you have a restless partner. Gel foam is also hypoallergenic, which keeps dust mites at bay.

- The top layer is a deep layer of Emma's Helix Foam. This unique layer is a high-density foam that boasts continuous zoning, ensuring optimal conformability to the body's contours.

- The Emma Helix Hybrid mattress is finished with a super-high quality, luxurious and very tactile "Premium SensIce Cool-Touch Removable Cover". This excellent cover is the final flourish of luxury and is both removable and washable up to 40°C (we recommend line drying).

Roll-up vacuum-packed mattresses must be unrolled within one month of delivery to ensure they expand fully and operate as intended.
Note, if using this mattress with a slatted bedstead, the distance between each slat can be no more than 7cm.
