Mammoth's mattresses are made to the very highest standards, and their bases are no different. Each base is made from the finest materials and is designed to stand the test of time.

Mammoth's Divan bases are available in a great choice of fabrics, all of very high quality and all in beautiful colours. The bases are available in a choice of drawer options, colours and also a choice of a solid top or sprung top. These options will allow you to build the bed to your exact requirements.

A solid top base will do exactly what you'd expect; it will allow the mattress to work without any interference, as though the mattress is placed on the floor. Some would wrongly assume this makes the mattress firmer, but the truth is that it will simply prevent the mattress from being any softer. A solid top base will not add a layer of cushioning underneath, which would soften the overall feel of the bed.

A sprung surface to a Divan base will allow the mattress to work as intended, but it will add a bit more 'bounce' the bed, meaning there is another layer of spring in the bed and therefore a slightly softer feel when weight is applied. This effect is ideal for those who want to soften the mattress very slightly, or those who want a more enveloping feel to the bed. A common issue with a sprung base is with the smaller sizes, as this type of base can result in feeling as though you will fall out of bed when near the edge (more likely in smaller sizes) as the base has a softer, sprung layer right the way up to the edge, which may feel as though it is falling away.

The drawers in the Mammoth bases are built to a high standard, and are large and durable. Mammoth pride's itself on producing the very best products it can and their bases are no different. You can choose from 2 full size drawers, which can be at the head end or the foot end, depending on how you fit the headboard, or you can opt for the full 4 large drawers. There is also the "2+2" option, which is 2 large drawers and 2 slightly smaller drawers to take in to account any bedside cabinets you may have.

This base is finished on a high quality chrome effect gliders, which are not wheels but are just as easy to move, the beauty of this type of foot is that it will not damage flooring as some wheels may.
