How Memory Foam Mattresses Work
Memory foam mattresses have a top layer of temperature-sensitive viscoelastic material (memory foam). As it reacts to your body heat, it softens and moulds to the shape of your body, filling in hollows such as the arch of your back. That means you feel wonderfully supported as your sleep.
Many memory mattresses are sprung mattresses with a top layer of memory foam, although some (called memory foam only or pure memory foam) have no springs but extra layers of memory foam instead.
