Shire Beds Active Response Breeze Mattress

The Shire Beds Active Response Breeze Mattress is part of the Active Shire Collection, a range of beds and mattresses designed to provide comfort, support and a great nights sleep after a hectic day. This mattress is unique in its construction, offering not only a supportive foundation of foam but also a cooling and comfortable "Blue Foam".

The Breeze mattress has a deep foundation of supportive foam, 15cm deep and capable of providing the support needed to ensure that the body is held in correct posture throughout the night. Bodyweight is not applied uniformly, it is focussed on areas such as the hips and lumbar region, and so those areas are susceptible to pressure points forming (much in the same way that feet ache after a long day standing up) as a result. This deep layer will prevent those pressure points from developing.

On the top of this mattress is a softer layer of 'Blue Foam'. This luxurious layer is not only very comfortable, but also works in harmony with the foundation layer to give you additional support. This top layer is designed to be softer and more comfortable but also, crucially, it is designed to remain cool at all times.

This Shire Beds mattress is finished in a Thermocool cover, another detail that will ensure the mattress remains cool throughout the night. This is a silky-smooth and very tactile cover that looks great and is very durable. This is a no-turn mattress, only needing to be rotated (spun around) once per season, although we recommend this is done more often in the early weeks after delivery.
