Shire Beds Active Response Fresh Mattress

The Shire Beds Active Response mattress is part of their new range, a collection of beds and mattresses that use the latest materials and know-how to offer a great night's sleep. This mattress has a 3000 Pocket Spring unit at its core, providing excellent support where and when needed. On top of the springs is a deep layer of luxury Memory Foam, and the mattress is finished in a cooling cover.

The Active Response Fresh is designed to offer support and comfort whilst keeping you cool at all times. This mattress has Pocket Springs in the centre, which act like a bellow under movement to draw air through. As well as this there is the cover, which is the 37-Degree fabric, so-called because that's the temperature it aims to achieve, perfect for a good nights sleep. Shire Beds have also used "Memory Wool" as a filling. This material acts like foam, but also shares properties with wool, allowing for further ventilation and movement of air through the mattress.

The 3000 Pocket Springs inside this mattress are all independent from one another, moving up and down as weight is applied and providing the support that promotes good posture.These springs are held within their own 'pocket' of fabric, preventing one spring from disturbing another spring when under compression. The result is a high level of accuracy in the support provided.

This mattress has a deep layer of Memory Foam on the surface, offering a luxurious flourish that feels superb and also works in harmony with the supportive springs underneath. The Fresh Mattress also boasts a framework of foam, known as encapsulation. This increases the strength of the sidewalls and increases the size of the comfortable sleeping surface.

This is a no-turn mattress, only needing rotation (spinning around) once per season, although we recommend this is done more often in the early weeks after delivery.
