This is a comfortable mattress, soft on the surface, but still able to offer a supportive, posture enhancing firmness thanks to the pocket springs inside.

This mattress has 2000 Pocket Springs at its core, each working independently to move up and down like a piston as weight is applied. Each spring is sat within its own fabric 'pocket' preventing it from interfering with its neighbouring springs. The effect of this is to ensure completely accurate support at all times, each spring will only move as weight is applied to it, not moving because other springs move.

On top of this spring unit is a deep layer of natural fibre fillings, which include Cashmere, Silk and Mohair. These fillings are natural and breathable, ensuring the mattress remains cool and comfortable at all times. The fibre fillings in this mattress are soft and luxurious, perfectly complementing the supportive springs underneath.

Shire Beds have finished this mattress in a Tencel fabric cover, which is not only silky smooth and very tactile but also acts to draw away excess heat and moisture. The eco Comfy 2000 mattress is a no-turn mattress, only requiring rotation once per season (although we recommend this is done more often in the early weeks after delivery) and has handles on the sides for movement when required. There are also breather vents to further aid ventilation.
