Product Description

The Sleepeezee Cool Rest 2400 mattress is the top-of-the-range model of the most recent additions to Sleepeezee's well-known "Cool Collection," a range of beds designed to offer value and support as well as a wonderfully cool and comfortable night's sleep - no matter the season. This wonderful mattress is made up of many layers of luxurious fillings and 2400 pocket springs. This mattress has a cushion top and is deep and extremely opulent.

The Cool Rest 2400 mattress is designed to provide a soft to medium feel that is supportive in the middle and luxuriously soft and cloud-like on top. This mattress can only be rotated, thus all fillings are on one side. Because of this, the mattress needs very little upkeep and just needs to be turned over once per season*. This incredible Sleepeezee mattress also has a quilted, soft-touch cover for additional comfort as you sleep. Breather vents and flag-stitched handles are also included for increased ventilation and portability.

A superior pocket spring unit chosen by Sleepeezee makes up the mattress' core. Each spring will move up and down like a piston as additional weight is added. The springs won't interfere with or interact with the surrounding springs because they are isolated within their own fabric pocket, providing continually excellent, precise support without any compromise. These springs will not only provide you with the support you need to maintain perfect posture and prevent aches and pains from pressure spots, but they are also highly dependable and accurate. The Sleepeezee Cool Rest 2400 has a secondary layer of slightly smaller springs, which work in harmony with the fillings above and the larger springs below. This smaller layer of springs is there to offer a delicate, softer feel, whereas the main pocket springs offer the firmer support needed at this mattress' core.

The Sleepeezee Cool Rest 2400 mattress has a number of layers on the sleeping surface. The top layer has strips of TemperatureSmart graphite. These strips will help maintain the mattress clean and fresh at all times by removing extra heat and moisture from it as well as fighting bacteria. Under this one is a supple, luxurious layer of breathable, soft Memory Foam - a double layer of wonderfully comfortable foam. Underneath this layer is the mini-pocket springs, which in turn then sit on top of another layer of foam, this time it is Visco Foam. Visco is highly responsive and adds 'bounce' to the bed, supportive and comfortable. Under these layers are high-density fibre layers and then the main pocket springs.

This mattress has a second layer on top because it is a "pillow top." Although the layer cannot be removed, it does allow the filling layers to move more freely, offering another level of soft comfort and pleasure.

Sleepeezee supplies bedding to HRH the Prince of Wales' residence and is a holder of a Royal Warrant. As a result, their beds and mattresses are unrivalled in terms of durability and strength. This mattress has a full 10-year guarantee and is of the greatest quality. Sleepeezee manufactures all of its mattresses and beds in Kent, England. For this excellent Cool Rest 1800 mattress, we provide free** delivery to the room of your choice with a 2-man delivery crew.

*We suggest rotating the mattress more frequently in the first few weeks after delivery to promote even settlement.
**Geographic fees apply to some offshore regions and Northern Scotland.

    Cool and comfortable
It is certainly cool to the touch and is a lot cooler than the previous mattress we had. I don't think it keeps you chilled all night but it does not get hot, which is a big difference.

    Cool
It certainly is a cool mattress. it feels almost chilled, which is a strange sensation but once you're in bed its fine. I would not say it will make you cold, but it will certainly take the edge off things if you do get a bit too warm.

Glossary

  • Firmness

MyNextMattress is developing a new and unique solution to the Firmness scale accuracy. Not seen anywhere else in the World, we will be measuring the Firmness of all our mattresses precisely and in detail.

We are the only company in the Country that will actually measure the Firmness of a mattress and give a grading out of 10. We are always aware that choosing your next mattress can be a difficult and time consuming process, therefore we strive to give as much information as possible on every mattress we sell.

The way our system works is by applying weight to a mattress. We will apply weight gradually and measure the amount the mattress dips. The more weight, the more the mattress will 'sink'. We would then measure the distance the mattress dips and plot these measurements (weight and distance) on a graph. This graph can then be used to tell us the Firmness category the mattress fits into, 7 out of 10 for instance.

Our Firmness Device provides a central rod which we apply weights to, on the bottom end there is a disc which pushes into the mattress. The top of this rod supports the weights and will sink according to the 'give' in a mattress. We measure from this point.

As a result of this unique technique, it will be possible for you to shop by the firmness of a mattress, this is not possible anywhere else.

  • Memory Foam

Memory Foam was invented by NASA in 1966. The idea was to improve the safety of aircraft cushions, but it was not long before th material was developed further and used in more and more products. Memory Foam is an open cell construction, which reacts to body heat and weight. The more heat applied, the softer the material gets. This, in turn, allows the weight applied to sink deeper. Memory Foam can be made at various densities to result in different tensions/firmnesses.

The crucial element of Memory Foam is that it softens and moulds to the body shape. This ability allows for very accurate contour support and weight distribution. This ability makes Memory Foam a desirable material for mattresses. Some mattresses are completely Memory Foam, perhaps using different layers of various densities. Some mattresses use Memory Foam to compliment a Spring Unit.

As Memory Foam requires heat to achieve its desired state, the heat is stored. Some people are not keen on Memory Foam as this heat can gradually build, resulting in a warm bed. However, this stereotype can be seen as outdated, as many manufacturers have solved the issue by applying new techniques to compliment the Foam. Techniques such as Outlast and Coolmax. Memory Foam is also Hypoallergenic and is therefore very popular with Asthma and Allergy sufferers.

  • Pillow Top

A pillow top mattress is a relatively new development in the bedding industry. Originally the technique applied to the more expensive mattresses, the technique has been perfected to such an extent that the prices have fallen the Pillow Top is much more widely available. Known as the Euro Top by American retailers, the design was originally on the wider market a few years ago, and is now a common site in bedrooms around the World. The idea is to separate the surface fillings from the core of the mattress itself. This results in more support and more comfort. Many traditional mattresses fasten the surface fillings to the spring unit in the mattress. A Pillow Top mattress has a distinct separate layer for the fillings and therefore reacts independently to the spring unit, resulting in less dipping and a solid feel. The technique also offers greater edge-to-edge support.

Pillow tops can take many forms nowadays. A deep layer on the surface which contains memory foam. Another technique of Pillow Top mattress is the Silentnight Treasure mattress. A shallower, quilt like style. All in all, this type of mattress is continuing to go from strength to strength and would appear to be here to stay.

  • Pocket Sprung

Pocket Sprung units are an adaption of the traditional open coil/continuous spring unit. By placing each spring in its own individual 'pocket' (a fabric sock-like pouch), the spring is not joined to any other part of the mattress. The pocket that supports the spring is then joined to its neighbouring pockets and this effect creates a unique feel.

By creating a spring unit in this way, it allows the springs to move independently, rather than sharing the pressure with surrounding springs. This effect allows for much more accurate contour following and a more comfortable feel overall.

If you were to push your hand into a traditionally sprung mattress, the area around your hand would dip/sink too. With Pocket Springs, this sunken area is much more remote and therefore more accurately follows the contours of the pressure source. There are differences in the techniques used to create Pocket Springs, but more or less they remain the same.

  • Turn / No Turn

Some mattresses require turning over, to aid even settlement. Others do not require turning, but will still require rotating.

  • Tension

    Another word for Firmness.

  • Rotate

Some mattresses require rotating, meaning turning over completely. This can also be combined with rotating the mattress.

  • Fillings

The fillings of each mattress can differ from one another, but largely they include British Lambs Wool and Cotton. Some also feature Latex, Silk and Cashmere.
