Product Description

Looking for the firmest Sealy mattress you can buy? Introducing the Sealy Bourton mattress, a standout in the Ortho Plus Collection, tailored for those who cherish an unparalleled firmness in their beds. Within this collection, the Bourton reigns supreme, designed specifically for those seeking a truly firm mattress. At its core, this Sealy gem boasts the acclaimed PostureTech Spring system, complemented by the lumbar-enhancing support of the PowerPack system.

The Bourton exemplifies firmness, with its resilient springs and fillings, collaboratively delivering the zenith of firm mattresses in Sealy's portfolio. It houses the proprietary PostureTech springs, crafted with Sealy's precision and stemming from extensive collaborations with health and medical experts over the years. This spring design ensures an even dispersion of body weight, offering immediate and optimal support. Further enhancing its stature, Sealy integrates their state-of-the-art EdgeGuard technology, reinforcing the mattress with robust sidewalls.

Sealy's innovative PowerPack system shines in the Bourton, emphasising lumbar support. This added support plays a pivotal role in preventing discomfort in the lower back, often arising from the formation of undue pressure points. In the absence of this crucial lumbar backing, nighttime bodyweight concentration can lead to discomfort akin to the fatigue experienced by feet after prolonged standing.

The Sealy Bourton mattress is a haven of breathable fibre, abstaining from foam or gel components. This fibre-centric design ensures a refreshing and cozy temperature throughout your rest. The tufting on the Bourton, evidenced by its signature dimpled appearance, not only promises consistent firmness but also ensures the fillings remain intact, resisting shifts over time.

Designed for longevity, the Bourton mattress is turnable and necessitates seasonal turning and rotation. For optimal performance and uniform settling, we advocate more frequent adjustments in the initial weeks post-delivery.

Glossary

  • Pocket Sprung

Pocket Sprung units are an adaption of the traditional open coil/continuous spring unit. By placing each spring in its own individual 'pocket' (a fabric sock-like pouch), the spring is not joined to any other part of the mattress. The pocket that supports the spring is then joined to its neighbouring pockets and this effect creates a unique feel.

By creating a spring unit in this way, it allows the springs to move independently, rather than sharing the pressure with surrounding springs. This effect allows for much more accurate contour following and a more comfortable feel overall.

If you were to push your hand into a traditionally sprung mattress, the area around your hand would dip/sink too. With Pocket Springs, this sunken area is much more remote and therefore more accurately follows the contours of the pressure source. There are differences in the techniques used to create Pocket Springs, but more or less they remain the same.
