Product Description

The Sealy Holst mattress is one of the new generation of Sealy mattresses. Part of the Elevate Collection, this mattress is one of the top specifications that Sealy currently has to offer. Designed to be supportive and yet very luxurious, the Sealy Holst mattress is superb value for money and very popular. Backed by a 7-year guarantee, this no-turn mattress is one of our favourites here at MyNextMattress.

The Sealy Holst mattress is built using the excellent AlignSupport Coil spring. This excellent spring will provide great support throughout the night, as well as durability and comfort. This spring will work in harmony with the comfortable foam layers above it. Designed to perform in two different ways, this Sealy spring's first job is to conform to your body shape, encouraging your body to replicate the standing position, which is the correct posture. The AlignSupport spring will then move and compress as you move in the night, perfectly complementing your posture but also supporting the heavier parts of the body, particularly the lumbar region.

Sealy has finished this Holst mattress with their Unicase system, enclosing the mattress and the spring unit with a strong sidewall perimeter that will increase the size of the comfortable sleeping area - particularly important for smaller-sized mattresses. The structure of this mattress is designed for weight energy to be focused in one direction. As this is a no-turn mattress, there is no need to flip it over, but it will still require turning around (spinning).

There are three layers of luxurious and supportive memory foam in the Holst. The initial layer is a deep layer of InfiniLux High Resilience Foam, which gives the mattress the strength it needs to support you throughout the night. This layer works in harmony with the springs beneath and the foam layers above. The middle foam layer is a medium firmness layer of Sealy foam. This layer will gradually soften as weight is applied throughout the night. The top layer is the supremely luxurious InfiniLux High Resilience Foam. This layer is wonderfully comfortable and will complement the supportive layers underneath it, as well as adding durability.

This Sealy mattress is finished in a tactile and comfortable cover fabric that is soft and very luxurious. SmarTex is designed to draw away excess heat and moisture throughout the night, keeping you cool and comfortable and keeping the mattress fresh throughout its lifespan. Not only this, but Sealy has finished the Holst in a fabric that has been treated with ProShield - protecting against allergens. ProShield is endorsed by Allergy UK.

This excellent Sealy mattress is one of our favourites and the Sealy Elevate Mattress Collection is one of their best in many years. We deliver this mattress to you with our 2-person crew, right to the room of your choice.

Love this mattress. Was scared of buying online but we should not have worried as this mattress is excellent and does exactly what we wanted it to! We've had it for a few weeks now and both my partner and I are certainly sleeping better.

Glossary

  • Fibre Most mattresses will have layers of fillings under the surface to increase comfort and separate the spring units from the surface. The most common fillings used in mattresses are cotton, wool and polyester among others. Mattresses require fillings to create a soft surface tension on which to sleep. The fillings normally compliment the internal spring unit by adding comfort to the support offered (by the spring unit) The tension of the surface fillings can be tuned by the density in which they are packed as well as by the method in which they are bound together. Tufting results in a slightly firmer feel than quilting.
  • Firmness

MyNextMattress is developing a new and unique solution to the Firmness scale accuracy. Not seen anywhere else in the World, we will be measuring the Firmness of all our mattresses precisely and in detail.

We are the only company in the Country that will actually measure the Firmness of a mattress and give a grading out of 10. We are always aware that choosing your next mattress can be a difficult and time consuming process, therefore we strive to give as much information as possible on every mattress we sell.

The way our system works is by applying weight to a mattress. We will apply weight gradually and measure the amount the mattress dips. The more weight, the more the mattress will 'sink'. We would then measure the distance the mattress dips and plot these measurements (weight and distance) on a graph. This graph can then be used to tell us the Firmness category the mattress fits into, 7 out of 10 for instance.

Our Firmness Device provides a central rod which we apply weights to, on the bottom end there is a disc which pushes into the mattress. The top of this rod supports the weights and will sink according to the 'give' in a mattress. We measure from this point.

As a result of this unique technique, it will be possible for you to shop by the firmness of a mattress, this is not possible anywhere else.

  • Orthopaedic

Orthopaedic mattresses are usually the firmest mattresses on the market. A common mistake made by those with back pain, is to assume that a firm Orthopaedic mattress will be the solution. Personal comfort and a correct diagnosis of the cause of the pain should always be saught before purchasing an Orthopaedic mattress.

Many brands have 'Ortho' mattresses. Terms used include 'Backcare' or 'Orthocare' and the theme is generally to produce a firmer feeling mattress. The idea is to create a mattress that the body can rest on without sinking in and bending the spine, causing pressure to build up. However, if a lighter person lays on a firmer mattress, they will find the spine will not align correctly as the loaded parts of the body (shoulders, hips etc) are not sitting correctly. For more information on the causes of back pain, click here or read about another solution in the Zoning description.

  • Pressure Points

Pressure Points are created in the body when lying on a mattress which is not suitable for a persons physique. The Pressure Points are caused by putting stresses through the body. When the spine is not aligned correctly (i.e, straight), it can cause pressure to build up in the back, hips or shoulders (etc).

When a bed is too soft, the body sinks in, causing certain areas to be under the strain of the rest of the body. When a mattress is too hard/firm, then the weight applied can cause the body to flex/bend in the opposite way - causing a similar problem. Hips, shoulders and so on, are requried to be sunken into the mattress slightly more than the surrounding areas, as they carry the weight. When this is not the case, the lower back may be bent to compensate. The ideal mattress is one which will keep the spine straight.
