Comfort without support is no fun at all - luxury certainly doesn't come at the expense of comfort here. The Vispring Bedstead Distinction is supported by 2450 pocket springs (in a kingsize mattress). These 1.32mm Vanadium steel springs, 52mm in diameter in individually sewn calico pockets are hand nested into a honeycomb unit by Vispring's expert bedmakers to provide the ideal level of support in any of the four tensions available. As the inventors of the pocket spring, with over a century of mattress-making experience, you can be assured of high quality when you lay on a Vispring mattress.

The Vispring Distinction mattress is upholstered in only the finest natural fillings. A wool spring protector pad softens the supportive pocket springs, then 1000gsm of bonded British fleece wool and cotton, with an additional 1350gsm hand-teased, long-stranded horsehair blended together with genuine Shetland Isle fleece wool and bamboo. These luscious natural fillings are enclosed in a hair-proof cambric cover, before a final layer of 900gsm blended Shetland Isle fleece wool and cotton is overlaid and hand tufted with hand-tied woolen tufts, covered with a satin ivory Belgian ticking from the Vispring collection.

The Bedstead Distinction is 23cm deep plus 6cm doming (+/- 2cm) and features four rows of hand side-stitching. Horizontal handles are added to assist with rotating and turning the mattress. Air vents help air move through the natural fillings, and border edges are upholstered in protective lambswool, before a piped ticking finish.
