Product Description
The Welland Beds Cirrus 2000 Pillow Top Mattress presents a practical and comfortable option in the mattress market. This mattress combines natural materials with a thoughtful design to suit a variety of sleeping needs. This mattress boasts superb value for money.
Key to the Cirrus 2000's design are its deep layers of cotton, wool, silk, and cashmere. These materials provide a range of benefits: cotton ensures breathability, wool offers insulation, silk contributes a smooth feel, and cashmere adds a layer of softness. Together, they create a comfortable and adaptable sleep surface.
Accompanying the mattress is a 5-year guarantee, indicating the manufacturer's confidence in its durability and quality. This is an important factor for buyers looking for a long-term investment in their sleep comfort.
The mattress is classified as having a medium firmness level, making it a versatile choice for many sleepers. This level of firmness is ideal for those who do not prefer a surface that is excessively soft or hard.
One of the standout features of the Cirrus 2000 is its deep pillow top layer. This additional cushioning provides an extra level of comfort, enhancing the overall sleep experience.
The mattress includes 2000 pocket springs, which are designed to offer excellent support. These springs move independently, which helps in reducing motion transfer. This feature is particularly beneficial for those sharing the bed, as it minimizes disturbances caused by movement.
The surface of the mattress is quilted, adding a subtle texture and enhancing its visual appeal. Additionally, the mattress is foam-encapsulated. This feature strengthens the edges of the mattress and provides extra support, particularly for those who tend to sleep or sit near the edge.
In summary, the Welland Beds Cirrus 2000 Pillow Top Mattress is a well-constructed product that combines natural materials and a supportive design. It's medium firmness and additional pillow top layer make it a comfortable choice for a variety of sleepers. The inclusion of a 5-year guarantee and the thoughtful design elements like the foam encapsulation add to its value as a durable and practical mattress option.

- Very good mattressThis is a very good mattress that we have already recommended to other people. It is quite soft on top but the internal springs support my back well. We are pleased overall.Verified Buyer
- RecommendedRecommended to other friends already. Loses a star because it is deeper than it should be. 35cm meant new sheets for me.Verified Buyer
- Not heard of them but good optionI had done a lot of research before purchasing and tried lots in the shops. I knew the sort of specification I wanted and the budget I had and it seemed that there were only a few options. I relied on the sleep trial here and went for it and I have no complaints. Perfect mattress for me.Verified Buyer

Glossary
- Firmness
MyNextMattress is developing a new and unique solution to the Firmness scale accuracy. Not seen anywhere else in the World, we will be measuring the Firmness of all our mattresses precisely and in detail.
We are the only company in the Country that will actually measure the Firmness of a mattress and give a grading out of 10. We are always aware that choosing your next mattress can be a difficult and time consuming process, therefore we strive to give as much information as possible on every mattress we sell.
The way our system works is by applying weight to a mattress. We will apply weight gradually and measure the amount the mattress dips. The more weight, the more the mattress will 'sink'. We would then measure the distance the mattress dips and plot these measurements (weight and distance) on a graph. This graph can then be used to tell us the Firmness category the mattress fits into, 7 out of 10 for instance.
Our Firmness Device provides a central rod which we apply weights to, on the bottom end there is a disc which pushes into the mattress. The top of this rod supports the weights and will sink according to the 'give' in a mattress. We measure from this point.
As a result of this unique technique, it will be possible for you to shop by the firmness of a mattress, this is not possible anywhere else. - Pillow Top
A pillow top mattress is a relatively new development in the bedding industry. Originally the technique applied to the more expensive mattresses, the technique has been perfected to such an extent that the prices have fallen the Pillow Top is much more widely available. Known as the Euro Top by American retailers, the design was originally on the wider market a few years ago, and is now a common site in bedrooms around the World. The idea is to separate the surface fillings from the core of the mattress itself. This results in more support and more comfort. Many traditional mattresses fasten the surface fillings to the spring unit in the mattress. A Pillow Top mattress has a distinct separate layer for the fillings and therefore reacts independently to the spring unit, resulting in less dipping and a solid feel. The technique also offers greater edge-to-edge support.
Pillow tops can take many forms nowadays. A deep layer on the surface which contains memory foam. Another technique of Pillow Top mattress is the Silentnight Treasure mattress. A shallower, quilt like style. All in all, this type of mattress is continuing to go from strength to strength and would appear to be here to stay.
- Pocket Sprung
Pocket Sprung units are an adaption of the traditional open coil/continuous spring unit. By placing each spring in its own individual 'pocket' (a fabric sock-like pouch), the spring is not joined to any other part of the mattress. The pocket that supports the spring is then joined to its neighbouring pockets and this effect creates a unique feel.
By creating a spring unit in this way, it allows the springs to move independently, rather than sharing the pressure with surrounding springs. This effect allows for much more accurate contour following and a more comfortable feel overall.
If you were to push your hand into a traditionally sprung mattress, the area around your hand would dip/sink too. With Pocket Springs, this sunken area is much more remote and therefore more accurately follows the contours of the pressure source. There are differences in the techniques used to create Pocket Springs, but more or less they remain the same. - Pressure Points
Pressure Points are created in the body when lying on a mattress which is not suitable for a persons physique. The Pressure Points are caused by putting stresses through the body. When the spine is not aligned correctly (i.e, straight), it can cause pressure to build up in the back, hips or shoulders (etc).
When a bed is too soft, the body sinks in, causing certain areas to be under the strain of the rest of the body. When a mattress is too hard/firm, then the weight applied can cause the body to flex/bend in the opposite way - causing a similar problem. Hips, shoulders and so on, are requried to be sunken into the mattress slightly more than the surrounding areas, as they carry the weight. When this is not the case, the lower back may be bent to compensate. The ideal mattress is one which will keep the spine straight. - Quilted / Micro Quilted
Quilting is the stitching technique used to join or attach the mattress' surface layers of fibres to the surface material (the ticking). There are various different techniques which can be used to join these layers, but Quilting is common. Traditionally, Quilting offers a softer surface feel than Tufting as the layers are not held together so tightly. Also see Diamond Stitching or Micro Quilting for variations on Quilting.
